Service Description

This workshop is perfect if you’d like to explore sculptural clay in a single, focused session. Using a range of handbuilding techniques — including formers, pinch pots, solid form, and coils — you’ll create a finished sculpture of approximately 15cm. You’re free to choose your direction: • an animal sculpture • a decorative pot with sculpted elements • or an abstract sculptural form Esther will guide you through building strong forms, adding surface detail, and refining your piece. You’ll also be introduced to decoration options, using slips or oxides for character and texture, or you can opt for a simple, plain glaze for a more minimal finish. ► What You Get • A structured workshop introducing key hand-building techniques • Guided time to make and decorate your piece • All clay, tools, glazes, and firings included • Your finished work glazed and fired to stoneware ► Collection & Finishing • Your work will be fired and finished by our team • Please contact us 4–5 weeks after the workshop to arrange collection of your completed pieces ► Key Details & Requirements • Minimum age: 16 years • Minimum booking: This workshop runs with a minimum of 4 participants
